Brass bands will showcase their talents in Bury next month as bandemonium returns to the town centre for another year.

The celebration of brass band music known as bandemonium will take place once again in 2026 and will see a wide range of musicians take to the streets and dazzle shoppers with their talents.

This summer’s event will take place on Saturday, June 13. For further information or if any other bands wish to partake, please contact the organiser Mr Andrew Taylor, at jat999@tinyworld.co.uk

Young musicians from Bury Music Service will be first up at 9.30am, and various ensembles will be playing in Racconto Square until 12.30pm.

The popular Bloco Ashe Samba Band will play in Kay Gardens between 11am and 1pm.

Over at Market Place next to the Peel monument, the Royal Regiment of Fusiliers Band (Lancashire) will be performing between 11am and 1pm.

The Music Service will be followed by a wonderful display by the Phoenix Parade Band, who will be marching and playing until about 2.30pm.

St John’s Square at The Rock will be the venue for two bands, with Crumpsall Concert Band playing from 11am until 1pm followed by Tottington Public Band, who will play until 3pm.

On the day, there will be plenty of free family entertainment to entertain and inspire the many shoppers who visit the town centre.
