One person has been charged and remanded to court after a string of shoplifting offences in Whitefield and Radcliffe.
Bury Police announced on social media on Tuesday, June 9, that one person has been arrested, charged and remanded to court in connection with multiple offences following shoplifting incidents across Whitefield and Radcliffe.
The force described the person as a "known offender" but has not released any further details.
Police said officers identified the suspect after a number of enquiries.
A spokesperson for Bury Police via social media said: "Whitefield Neighbourhood Policing Team Update
"Officers from the Whitefield Neighbourhood Team have been investigating a series of shoplifting offences across Whitefield and Radcliffe involving a known offender.
"Following a number of enquiries, officers successfully identified, located and arrested the suspect.
"The offender has been charged and remanded to court in connection with multiple offences.
"We will continue to proactively target repeat offenders and take robust action to protect local businesses and our community.
"Our commitment remains clear: tackling crime, supporting victims and keeping our neighbourhoods safe.
