Heaton Park was once again transformed into a sea of music fans this weekend, as Parklife 2026 delivered two days of packed crowds and standout performances in the warm weather.
This year’s line-up boasted big names such as Skepta, Rudimental, Kettama, Nia Archives, Sammy Virji, and Calvin Harris.
But it was Swedish pop sensation Zara Larsson who truly stole the show with her high-energy and confident set on the Valley Stage on Sunday, June 21.

Taking to the main stage in the early evening, Larsson wasted no time in commanding the audience, and it’s fair to say everybody was captivated.
She told the crowds: "We’ve only just started our festival season, but I’ve got a feeling you’re going to be the best show, Manchester."
Backed by a team of dancers, who each had their own special shout-out on stage, Zara commanded the audience with hits like ‘Lush Life’ and ‘Symphony’, which prompted huge sing-alongs.
Thousands of fans came out to see her, and it meant that Heaton Park became one huge chorus.

A stand-out moment from the set came when Zara selected a fan from the crowd, Grace, to dance with her on stage during ‘Lush Life’.
During her tour, Zara has been doing this at every show, and Grace from Parklife was a hit with the crowds.
She finished her set with a song everybody had been waiting for, ‘Midnight Sun’, a single released in 2025 that became an overnight sensation.

Performing the song on the longest day of the year, the summer solstice, made the moment extra special, even though at that point in the evening a blanket of clouds had covered the park in typical Manchester fashion.
Parklife 2026 had no shortage of highlights, such as a surprise performance from Manchester rapper Aitch and a set of throwback bangers from Calvin Harris, but Zara Larsson left Heaton Park as its undisputed pop queen.
If you went to the festival at the weekend, what was your favourite set?
