Pupils have been given hi-vis vests to help keep them safe on their journeys to and from school.
The 35 vests were donated to Summerseat Methodist Primary School by Barratt Homes as part of its Bright Journeys campaign, which aims to raise awareness of road safety and encourage active travel to school.
Barratt Homes is currently building new homes nearby at its Waldmers Wood development.
Sarah Brown, head of school at Summerseat Methodist Primary School, said: "We are so thankful for the donation of high-vis jackets from Barratt Homes.
"We have several pupils who walk to and from school, which we actively encourage, but the traffic and parking around school is not always ideal.
"The jackets will ensure they are visible, thus increasing their safety especially during the upcoming winter months."
Bright Journeys will provide up to 2,000 pupils across the country with equipment to help them shine bright on their commutes throughout the school year.
Rhys Nicholson, managing director at Barratt Homes Manchester, said: "Through Bright Journeys, we are helping local children stay safe and visible, while encouraging active and sustainable travel and raising awareness of road safety.
"We hope the hi-vis vests provide pupils at Summerseat Methodist Primary School and their parents with extra confidence during the school run, particularly throughout the winter months."
The campaign forms part of Barratt Homes' ongoing commitment to supporting the communities surrounding its developments and investing in initiatives that have a positive impact on local families.
It aligns with Walk to School Month (October) and Road Safety Week (15th to 21st November), both of which encourage safer and more active journeys to school.
The donation is part of wider efforts to promote good habits in young people that support their health, wellbeing, and independence.
