A Whitefield tenant has been evicted from her home after a court was told she subjected her neighbours to a life of misery and fear by holding wild parties throughout the day and night.
Chantelle Barlow, of Higher Lane, held continuous parties where loud music and drinking were the norm .
It was said Barlow was given numerous warnings, but failed to mend her ways, or that of her visitors.
Numerous youths called at her home day and night and often gained access to the block via the communal front door which they kicked open. They also congregated on the stairwells and inside Barlow’s flat to party.
The court heard residents tried to reason with her and her visitors but received verbal abuse and were threatened.
Susan Jordan, chief executive of Six Town Housing, said after the case: “Residents of the block worked tirelessly with us to obtain the possession order and we thank them for sticking to their guns and helping us gather the evidence required to remove this young woman from their neighbourhood.
“We hope that they can now finally enjoy the peace and quiet to which they are entitled.”
