TRAFFIC issues, artwork and healthcare will be on the agenda at a meeting of Whitefield and Unsworth Local Area Partnership on Monday. From 6.30pm at Elms Community Centre, Green Lane, Whitefield, issues to be discussed include the Croft Lane roadworks plan, due to start imminently.
Guests will also have a chance to view images of two bronze castings created by artist Steve Des Landes. They depict the history of Whitefield, which will be put up outside the new Morrisons supermarket, when it opens in Bury New Road in September. One shows Besses o’ th’ Barn Band and the other shows Lily Hill Steam Laundry.
Bury Primary Care Trust will give a presentation on plans for a new Whitefield health centre.
A number of funding grants will also be considered, before members of the public can voice their own concerns on local issues in a 30-minute open forum.
