LOVE is in the air for Barbara and Emmanuel Morgan as they celebrate their diamond wedding anniversary.
The couple married at St John’s Church in Radcliffe exactly 60 years ago after meeting as teenagers.
Emmanuel, aged 82, spent 43 years as a motor mechanic at the East Lancashire Paper Mill, while Barbara, aged 80, worked there for 21 years as a shorthand typist.
The couple, of Hollinhurst Road, Radcliffe, have two children and four grandchildren, with their first great-grandchild due this year.
They will celebrate the special anniversary with a family party.
And the secret to such a long and happy marriage?
“To be tolerant of each other. We have brought the children up well I hope and we have a good time together,” said Barbara.
