POPULAR Bonfire Night celebrations could be heading back to Ainsworth’s recreation ground.
The Duke William pub, in Well Street, has held a bonfire and fireworks display on the site for more than 20 years.
But after concerns were raised about the event being held on public land, last year’s celebration was moved to land behind the pub.
But landlord Tim Herod is now working with council officers to take the event back to its traditional site in Church Street. The event will be held on Sunday, November 9.
