BURY MP David Chaytor will chair a public debate on the TIF bid on Saturday at The Met arts centre in Bury, at 10.30am.
Speakers in the Yes corner are Roger Jones, former chairman of the GM Passenger Transport Authority, and Lib Dem councillor Vera Hobhouse, the party’s environment spokesman on Rochdale council. In the No camp will be Graham Stringer, MP for Manchester Blackley, and Susan Williams, leader of Trafford council.
Cyclists supporting the bid will arrive in Bury on Saturday lunchtime as part of their 80-mile “Tour de TIF” around the city.
