The Poppy appeal 2008: This year it has been difficult to obtain a poppy in Radcliffe, with the Royal British Legion club being closed. The Cadet forces were only out on Saturday.
However with a little bit of leg work there were some public houses where it was possible to obtain a poppy.
I would like to thank the good folk of Radcliffe for their contributions to this year’s appeal and to thank the licencees of the following public houses: the Masons Arms £20.89; the Bridge Tavern £32.92; the Last Orders £57.53; and the Flying Flute £59.87 for the amounts collected.
