A NEW TV advertising campaign could help reduce Bury’s alarming toll of six deaths a week from smoking-releated diseases.
Timed to air in the early evening when both parents and their children are most likely to be watching together, the adverts will hopefully trigger discussion and motivate parents to use local NHS Stop Smoking Services.
Statistics for Bury show there is one smoking-related death a day and 337 in total annually.
The NHS Smoking Helpline is 0800 169 0169.
