The stolen van hit a garden fence in Burrswood Avenue
A STOLEN van crashed into a garden fence in Bury after being pursued by police.
The white Ford Transit van was stolen from Hanson Close Industrial Estate in Middleton at 1.15pm on Friday.
A tracker was fitted to the van and police started following the vehicle as it drove along Rochdale Road, Edenfield.
The driver tried to take the van down an alley but crashed into a garden fence in Burrswood Avenue, Bury.
The residents were not at home at the time and no-one was injured in the collision.
A 17-year-old boy was arrested and released on bail until February 9, pending further inquiries.
