ROAD humps that were placed on Melton Drive in Hollins as part of a major roadworks plan will be removed.
The committee of Whitefield and Unsworth local area partnership (LAP) ruled to remove the humps after a Bury Council report study revealed there was opposition to them.
They were installed in August when Melton Drive was reopened to traffic while nearby Croft Lane was closed in full for four weeks and partly shut for 13 more weeks.
The council wrote to 194 properties to ask residents if they wanted to keep the humps. Out of 192 replies, 58 per cent said yes and 42 per cent said no.
