ELDERLY residents will feel much warmer this winter thanks to the hard work of Bolton Road Tenants’ and Residents’ Association, Radcliffe.
The group has put together special packs for people aged 70 and over living on the estate.
Each pack includes a blanket, gloves, scarf, cup, hot chocolate or coffee, and a box of cup-a-soup.
They were paid for using a £470 grant from Six Town Housing and donations from the Wilkinson store and Bury Market.
A coffee morning was held at the pavilion in Bolton Road Park to hand out the packs to 50 residents.
Jacqueline Peachey, secretary of Bolton Road TRA, said: “The packs will be very much appreciated and really make a difference to people. We got some very good comments about them.”
