After the recent bad press about school closures due to the snow, we thought it might be nice to publicise a positive face of hardy Bury schools who never close when it snows.
Headteacher of St Stephens CE Primary School in Bury, Julia Rowlands, said: "We relish the opportunity to extend the curriculum to the outside. We also find that by remaining open our attendance levels remain high even on snowy days, children don't stay off school because they have more fun by coming in - and the staff love it too!"
