TWO unused mills in Ramsbottom could be turned into waste transfer sites if plans go ahead.
Waterside Mill and Peel Bridge Mill in Kenyon Street are in the pipeline to become storage stations for rubbish.
Waste management firm, AWR, have submitted the proposals, which are due to go before council planning chiefs in April.
If plans are approved, heavy lorries will drop off non-hazardous waste at the site up to nine times a day.
