Radcliffe director Danny Boyle's film Slumdog Millionaire has won the best adapted screenplay title at the Writers Guild of America.
Writer Simon Beaufoy was not available to pick up his WGA trophy as he was travelling to the UK to attend Sunday's Bafta awards.
