CREATIVE pupils at Bury Grammar School for Boys have been getting a “head” start.
Visiting artist Philip Garrett has been working on head anatomy with art and biology students, looking at the structure of the head, facial expressions and what is below the skin.
The youngsters have been experimenting with clay and produced a life-size clay head which will be displayed in the school’s new courtyard sculpture garden.
Art teacher Kiri Gore said: “Philip Garrett's work is remarkable and we are excited to be working with him.”
