A man who was wanted by Greater Manchester Police after a charity box was stolen from a police station has been arrested.
The 27-year-old man was arrested in Whitefield yesterday and remains in police custody for questioning.
On 30 December 2008, a charity box for victims of domestic violence was stolen from Bury Police Station.
Inquiries established the suspect was also wanted in connection with several other burglaries across Greater Manchester.
Local police worked closely with officers from Operation Storm, Greater Manchester Police's dedicated taskforce set up to tackle burglary and bring offenders to justice, to make the arrest.
