A man who was wanted by Greater Manchester Police after a charity box was stolen from a police station has been arrested.

The 27-year-old man was arrested in Whitefield yesterday and remains in police custody for questioning.

On 30 December 2008, a charity box for victims of domestic violence was stolen from Bury Police Station.
