YOUNG people from Bury who have been taken under the wing of Fairbridge North Manchester will entertain a host of VIP guests tomorrow.
A Festival Showcasing event will take place at Bury Town Hall and guests scheduled to attend include Fairbridge national ambassador and TV celebrity Nick Hancock, Bury South MP Ivan Lewis and former England cricketer, Fred Rumsey. Based in 15 of some of the most disadvantaged urban areas across the UK, Fairbridge supports around 3,700 13-25-year-olds every year who are not in education, employment or training or who have been identified as being at risk of dropping out.
Tomorrow’s event is to celebrate the achievements of Fairbridge’s youngsters. The charity’s local base is on The Rock in Bury.
