ON Tuesday morning somebody at Bury Bus Station was handing out leaflets bearing the GMPTE logo, as well as toffee walking sticks.

The leaflets contained bog standard health and safety information such as “Look both ways when crossing the carriageway”.

This advice should be directed to many of the bus drivers, who show a complete lack of understanding of the principle of the main zebra crossing at the bus station. I am surprised there have not been more fatalities.

The leaflet also advised us to go “easy on the sprouts”.

GMPTE clearly have an excess of funds to squander by producing such trash.
