BURY optician Yates & Suddell is adopting groundbreaking eye-measuring technology to allow spectacle wearers to enjoy improved and more natural vision.
EyeStation uses the latest digital technology to take extremely accurate measurements not normally possible with conventional techniques, resulting in improved lens quality for short, intermediate and long-sighted people.
The process is very quick, taking around 30 seconds, and is particularly helpful for users of varifocal lenses or wraparound sunglasses as it leads to better peripheral vision.
Because the technology uses cameras to project a patient’s image on to a screen, the process is much like looking in a mirror.
That enables people to try on frames and judge how they look from a number of different angles.
Yates & Suddell say it is the first opticians in the North West to install EyeStation and one of only three nationally.
The family opticians’ business has branches in Bury, Ramsbottom, Walkden and Radcliffe.
