THERE’S nothing better to warm you up on a cold December evening than a battle. On December 1, Prestwich Co-op Camera Club played host to the return leg of the print and digital image competition against Davyhulme Camera Club.
Our original judge was unable to make it but Norman Thompson came to our rescue.
Round one was prints. Derek Warren’s Blooming Explosion scooped top marks for Prestwich and Alan Flavell’s Gyr Falcon and Stuart Wilson’s Kingfisher helped secure a half-time lead for Prestwich.
Round two brought 20 digital images and the high quality gave our judge a tough task.
The final score was 337 points to Prestwich over Davyhulme’s 319. Thanks again to Davyhulme for making the trip to Prestwich and extra thanks go to Norman for judging at such short notice.
Tuesday December 15 is the AV project night where club members will showcase the audiovisual projects on which they have been working this year. Do come along and join us at the side door of the Bridge Methodist Hall, behind Radcliffe Library between 7.30 and 7.45 pm. New members are always welcome.
