MORE than 150 door knockers stolen from houses in Radcliffe have been replaced.
As reported last month, thieves targeted council houses in the Coronation Road area and removed the top part of metal door knockers and letterboxes.
It is believed the material was being sold as scrap metal.
Since the thefts, the council’s apprentice joiner, Vicky Hammersley, has replaced all the door knockers.
The police are continuing to investigate the thefts and have received no further reports of items being stolen.
