A MICRO brewery is looking to establish a high street presence in Bury.
Blueprints have been lodged by Ramsbottom-based Brewsmith for a micropub at premises in Broad Street.
Before now the site had been used by Meet and Eat, a Lebanese bistro, which is understood to have closed in the early part of this year.
Applicant James Smith said: "All four directors of the company are Bury residents, and were all raised in the Bury area, hence we are all aware of the importance of preserving the history of Bury town centre."
The microbrewery was first opened in 2014 and the firm has held regular tap days at their base on the Cuba Industrial Estate until now.
