A NEW business club - designed to attract entrepreneurs and go-getters on the move - has opened in Bury.

Hotel chain Village operates a number of VWorks hubs across its nationwide portfolio.

And now it has launched the same service at Village Hotel Club Bury, on the Waterfold Business Park, in Rochdale Road.

The company is making a firm play for the business market with the centre, which offers super-fast WiFim, free printing and photocopying, and free refreshments.

Mike Dixon, the hotel's general manager, said: "We're thrilled to unveil our new VWorks facilities and look forward to welcoming the Bury business community.

"Local businesses are at the heart of our community and we’re thrilled to offer a space that supports and promotes the needs of business owners and entrepreneurs enabling them to network, connect with mentors and make the most of our flexible working environment."

Aside from the main lounge and meeting rooms assembled there, smaller pods for two to six people are able for more private get-togethers.

Some of the larger assembly areas, for seminars and conferences, can accommodate up to 20 people.

Hotel bosses have enlisted the support of former Apprentice star Baroness Karen Brady as an ambassador for the brand and she is embarkiing on a series of 'Tales from the Bedroom' seminars across the network.

The former Birmingham City managing director and current West Ham vice-chairman will also be hosting the fledgling outfit's own business awards in the near future.

The Bury launch is the fifth for the concept, with others having opened or set to be launched in Bristol, Manchester, Cardiff, Coventry, Newcastle, Nottingham and Warrington, among other locations.
