A rare fan-favourite festive treat is making a comeback after five years.

The KFC Gravy Burger, last seen in 2021, has returned to menus as part of the fast-food giant’s new Gravymas range.

The burger features a crispy Original Recipe fillet, golden hash brown, melted cheese, sage and onion seasoning, and a generous helping of rich gravy mayo, all served in a sesame-topped bun.

Esther Heath, brand manager at KFC UK and Ireland, said: "Christmas and gravy are a match made in heaven, so this year we wanted to give our fans the most flavour-packed festive experience possible.

"It’s festive, it’s messy, and it’s pure comfort food."

Each burger also comes with a regular pot of KFC’s iconic gravy, perfect for pouring or dipping.

Also new to the menu are Festive Loaded Fries, which combine KFC Signature Fries with Popcorn Chicken, gravy mayo, and sage and onion seasoning.

Customers can order the Gravymas Burger and Festive Loaded Fries together with a Kwench shake as part of the Fully Festive Meal.

For larger groups, KFC is offering Festive Buckets starting from £20.99.

The Festive Double Bucket options include six pieces of Original Recipe Chicken and six Tenders, six pieces of chicken and eight Hot Wings, or six Tenders and six Tenders.

The Festive Triple Bucket, from £24.99, includes all three options.

Each bucket comes with four regular Signature Fries, two large sides, and a large drink.

And there’s more: by popular demand, KFC’s Mega Mozza Sticks will also remain on the menu throughout the festive season.

The Gravymas range will be available for eight weeks only, from November 9 to January 3, 2027, at participating KFC restaurants in Great Britain, Northern Ireland, and the Republic of Ireland.

It can also be ordered via the KFC app and through delivery services.

The Gravymas Burger is priced from £7.99, with the Box Meal starting at £11.99 and the Fully Festive Meal from £13.49.

Festive Loaded Fries are available from £3.99, or as an upgrade to a meal for an additional £1.99.

Rare chocolate and crisps return to UK supermarkets

In other food news, various treats are also returning to UK supermarkets.

Rare Walkers crisps have returned to supermarket shelves, with one flavour back for the first time in five years.

The crisp brand has reintroduced its Roast Potatoes, Pigs in Blankets and Sensations Honey Glazed Roast Ham flavours as part of its 2026 Christmas range.

The Roast Potatoes flavour last appeared on shelves for Christmas in 2021, with the Pigs in Blankets flavour not being seen since 2023.

The Pigs in Blankets and Roast Potatoes crisps come in 25g multipacks of five, priced at £2.30, while the Sensations Honey Glazed Roast Ham is available in 150g sharing bags for £2.50.

Rob Pothier, marketing director at PepsiCo, which owns Walkers, said: "Christmas is a huge opportunity for savoury snacking, with shoppers stocking up for every occasion, from family get-togethers and parties to nights in and the days between Christmas and New Year.

"Our Christmas portfolio is designed to stand out in store and make it easy for shoppers to find what they need, whether that’s a familiar favourite or a seasonal flavour."

A rare Cadbury favourite has also returned to British shelves after nearly two decades.

Astros, space-themed chocolate and candy balls with a biscuit centre, are now available at B&M stores for £1.30.

The popular chocolate brand first launched the treat in the UK in 1997 as a competitor to Smarties and M&Ms.

They were discontinued in 2008, but have now been spotted on UK supermarket shelves.

Astros are still sold in South Africa, and B&M has imported the 40g and 150g packs from the country.

The sweets are currently being sold in 40g and 150g boxes at B&M.

Astros are not the only Cadbury chocolate to return to shelves.

The Cadbury Dairy Milk Winter Mint Crisp bar is also back on UK supermarkets for the festive period.
