IT is nice to see the end product finally taking shape at the former Hornby Buildings site.
However, I do feel the developers have not taken into consideration the vast areas not offering any protection from the vagaries of the weather we have in Pennine towns.
As everyone knows, the wind and rain hold no restraints if you are caught out in it walking up Central Street, to St John's Gardens, ie Mark's and Spencer and Debenham's area.
And that's been like that from day one!
Well done for finally getting rid of the eyesore of a building site,
though, like so many people in the area, we felt you jumped the gun in demolishing Hornby Buildings, many of us still miss Stone's.
