Youngsters at Bury Cricket Club have enjoyed success across all age groups in their second campaign in the Bolton Association Cricket League.

The juniors, who are based at Bury Sports Club, have finished as runners-up in the under-9s, u11s, u13s and u18s categories.

Junior co-ordinator, Paul Belston said: “It makes me proud of the club and its junior coaches that all their hard work over the winter has come to fruition.

“Whilst our ethos is not to be blinkered and aim solely for silverware, we feel that finishing as well as all the teams have done proves that we have some talented juniors within the squads, and that can only bode well for our senior section in the long term.”
