BURY Storm were knocked out of the GMCL20 competition last Friday after losing their final group game by six wickets at Prestwich Heat.
A third win from four matches was not enough to book Premier Division leaders Prestwich a place in the quarter-finals, however, after they were edged out on run-rate.
Unsworth Draggons qualified after winning Bury and Prestwich's group following four straight victories, including a 40-run win at home to Radcliffe Racers last weekend.
Greenmount Gladiators booked their place on run-rate after finishing in second place in Pool Three.
They navigated the group stages unbeaten after beating Egerton Earthquakes by four wickets in their final group game, but were edged into second spot by group winners Edgworth Fury on run-rate.
Woodbank Wildboyz also made the last eight by virtue of run-rate after winning their final Pool Three match by 77 runs at Walshaw Warriors.
The other five qualifiers are pool winners Denton Saints, Clifton Kingfishers and Heywood Monkeys, while Flixton Fire made it on run-rate.
The draw for the quarter-finals and semi-finals will be made at tonight's GMCL board meeting.
