THREE under-17 players from Sedgley Tigers RUFC have been selected for the Lancashire Development squad.

Prop Austin Downham is joined by centre Jack Taylor and Max Dixon (flanker) in being picked for the county side.

All three gained county honours last season, adding to Jack Hefferan and Callum McGaughey who have previously worn the red rose of Lancashire, meaning Sedgley have provided five representative players in recent seasons.

Tigers coaches were proud to send a total of 14 players to the trials this season, including the trio selected as well as Oliver Lee, Teddy Clarke, Charlie Fitzpatrick, James Donohue, Gareth Payne, Cameron Bracey, James Howarth, Cameron Williams, Josh Yarwood, Remik Ryanowski and Callum Giblin.

Hamish Orr has also taken part in the Scottish Exiles programme.
