PRESTWICH continued their match towards a first GMCL Premier Division title with a 95-run win at Greenfield.

Elton beat Brooksbottom by 52 runs in the Championship but the latter have had their promotion confirmed.

Edenfield went down to a 94-run defeat at home to Stayley.

Both Tottington St John’s and Radcliffe kept their slim promotion hopes alive in Division 2A with victories.

Totty beat Irlam by 39 runs while Radcliffe picked up a big 177-run victory at Stand 2s having posted 311-8 batting first.

East Lancs Paper Mill were 22-run winners in a low scoring game at Hindley St Peter’s, who were relegated.

In Lancashire League action, Ramsbottom went down to an 85-run defeat at new Division One leaders Burnley.

Turf Moor paid man Ockert Erasmus was the star, hitting an unbeaten 74 and taking 4-29 as Rammy were all out for 100, only captain Kieren Grimshaw putting up any resistance with 40.

Greenmount are still top of Division Two after a two-wicket win at East Lancs.

Callum Hunter and professional Chesney Hughes both took three wickets as East Lancs posted 196-9.

Ryan Senior then played a captain’s innings however with his 44 not out seeing his side home. Matt Donnelly also made 34 in a partnership of 70.
