IT was a winning end to 2021 for two Radcliffe AC members.
Jenny Yates was first VW55 in 43mins 18secs at the Ribble Valley 10k, while Sheila Jones clocked 48:07 to win the VW65 age group.
They were joined by four more Radcliffe runners on the fast and popular course in Clitheroe.
Kathryn Davies ran 52:52, Elaine Bailey clocked 59:20, Jen Entwistle finished in 1:04:04 and Tracy Wroe ran 1:04:15. The results meant the women’s team finished 11th.
Mark Wolfenden took part in the traditional Whinberry Naze Dash Fell Race on Boxing Day.
The four-mile race has 750 feet of climbing, with many runners wearing fancy dress.
Several Radcliffe runners also did Christmas Day parkruns. At Bolton, Mark Williams ran 25:58. Other times: Kris Booth 27:11, Mark Wolfenden 28:29, Kathryn Davies 28:53, Elaine Bailey 33:15, Sarah Rushton 34:40.
Jenny Yates clocked 22:44 to finish first in her age group at Heaton Parkrun, while Steven Fawcett ran 25:23, Deborah Warrington clocked 33:19 and Jen Entwistle finished in 36:00.
Sheila Jones ran 23:11 at Keswick Parkrun and Craig Ward finished in 30:56 at Worley Woods.
