CRAIG Norman and Karen Doherty represented Radcliffe Athletic Club in the latest cross country fixture at Heaton Park.
They enjoyed perfect conditions for the third and penultimate race in the South East Lancashire League.
Norman had a superb run in the men’s 10k race, coming through the field to finish 38th in 41mins 43secs. He knocked a massive two minutes and eight seconds off his previous best for the course.
Doherty ran 49:15 in the ladies’ race which was approximately 8k.
Several club members also took park in the popular Saturday morning 5k parkruns.
Gary Adkins was eighth at Heaton Park in 18:23. Also running were Rob Shiels (19:26), Sheila Jones first VW65 (23:06), Stephen Crowe (28:36), Nick Barnes (29:10), Cheryl Gallagher (34:23) and Bev Quinton (40:21).
Kris Booth ran 24:14 to finish 29th at Bolton Parkrun and Kathryn Davies was eighth woman in 27:49. Elaine Bailey was first VW60 at Oaklands Parkrun in Birmingham, clocking 28:28.
Alison Howarth and Tracy Wroe ran 28:54 and 33:13 respectively at Worsley Woods.
Other results included Peter Hunter (Burnley) 24:50; Caroline Malone (Peel) 28:35; Jen Entwistle (Pennington Flash) 38:32.
