QUARTET: The four Bury ABC boxers who were in action last weekend
TWO teenage boxers from Bury ABC enjoyed success with points victories last week.
On Thursday, 16-year-old Amaani Afsar, fighting at 57kg, won unanimously against D Henry (Stoke ABC) in Audenshaw and two days later, in Blackburn, 19-year-old Umar Balal, at 75kg, beat Preston and Fulwood ABC’s J Gregson.
Bury ABC stable-mate, Shahbaz Khan, aged 27 and fighting in the seniors at 70kg, saw his bout stopped in the third round against Callum Taylor, of Accrington Lions ABC.
Meanwhile, Zachariah Singh, also 19 years old, lost on points at 60kg against Raihan Hussain (Technique ABC) at Blackburn Youth Zone on Saturday.
