There were mixed fortunes for a trio of young Bury Amateur Boxing Club fighters at two shows.
In Bradford, Bury’s Sahil Hussain fought at 46kg and won on points against Shayaan Liaqat, from Saifs Boxing Gym, in what was a very impressive and dominant win.
On the same bill in a senior contest, Bury’s Umar Bilal lost on a split decision in a 74kg contest against Joe Walshaw, from Osta’s Boxing Gym, in Leeds.
The previous week, at the Team Greaves show in Oldham, Bury youngster Archie O’Connor enjoyed a 55kg skills bout.
