Bury’s Lisa Hutchinson has been named in the Great Britain basketball squad for January’s crucial EuroBasket games.
The 25-year-old, who plays for Tenerife Aguere in Spain, is part of a 13-player squad who abd while the rest of the country tucks into another slice of Christmas pudding, will meet for training camp at the end of December.
Head coach Mark Clark said: “Lisa played well for us this summer and therefore I’m delighted she will be part of the GB squad in January.
“Lisa will be an integral part of the team, but of course it is important that we function as one team rather than a group of individuals.”
