BURY can have few complaints after crashing out of the Lancashire Amateur Cup in the first round.
After falling behind to a headed goal from a second-minute corner, the Old Boys looked to impose their passing game against much more direct opponents.
But Galgate, who launched the ball forward at every opportunity, added to Bury’s woes with a deflected free kick before McGady’s strike gave them hope just before the interval.
Galgate restored the two-goal cushion on the hour and Bury rarely threatened the home keeper after that to exit the cup.
