THE Old Boys remain top of the Lancashire Amateur League Premier Division after a comfortable victory over lowly Hesketh.
Will Purser opened the scoring before turning provider, unselfishly passing to Alex Lundy who tapped in from 10 yards.
Lundy grabbed his second with a looping header, and Sam Raey made it 4-0 before half time.
Bury made it five after the break when Lundy completed his hat-trick with another fine header. They took their foot off the gas, conceding two late goals.
The Old Boys go into the final two games of the season needing six points to put pressure on title rivals Castle Hill, who visit Buckley Wells on Saturday, kick off 2.30pm.
