RADCLIFFE Borough made it through to the first qualifying round of the FA Trophy with a 3-0 replay victory over Clitheroe on Tuesday night.
It was done and dusted in the first half at Stainton Park with all three goals coming before the midway point of the game.
Matthew Landregan broke the deadlock from the penalty spot on nine minutes before Dave Sherlock doubled the advantage, following on from his goal in the first meeting three days earlier, just before the half-hour mark.
It was 3-0 on the stroke of half time when Brad Robinson netted his second goal in successive home outings.
Clitheroe had chances of their own and hit the bar but the second half was goalless and Boro progressed. It had been a different story last weekend when the teams met at Shawbridge.
The hosts mirrored what Boro achieved on Tuesday and netted three goals in the first half to put themselves in a good position to progress.
But skipper James Mullineux gave Boro a lifeline two minutes before the break.
Two goals in three minutes then drew Kevin Glendon’s side level when Caldon Henson made it 3-2 on 60 minutes and then substitute Sherlock marked his 100th appearance for the club with a goal three minutes later to earn the replay.
Boro’s reward is a trip to Northwich Victoria in the next round on Saturday, October 19.
