Despite taking an early lead at Mossley, Radcliffe Borough remain in relegation trouble after losing their second consecutive game in Evo-Stik Division One on Saturday.
Debutant Aden Wainwright gave Kevin Glendon’s struggling Boro side a dream start at Seel Park with a goal in the sixth minute.
However, the lead was shortlived as Wayne Welbeck levelled for Mossley just two minutes later.
The Stainton Park men looked as though they would hold on for a hard-fought point but two late goals – from Dean Warburton (78) and a Douglas Carroll penalty on 88 minutes – sealed the victory for the hosts.
Boro’s next game is at home to sixth-placed Lancaster City on Saturday.
