Momodou Touray wants to help Bury win promotion after signing on a permanent deal from Southport.

The 26-year-old makes the move to Gigg Lane after impressing with his pace, power and eye for goal, adding further quality and competition to Tim Lees forward line.

Known for his direct running and work rate, Touray arrives eager to make an impact and help drive the club forward.

"I understand the demands that come with representing this club, and I’m ready to embrace them. I’m here to excite the fans and give everything I have to help the team push forward and achieve the club’s goal of promotion."

Touray has plenty of experience playing in the Northern Premier League while he has also played in the Football League and has represented Wales at age grade level.

He started his career with Newport County Academy, where he spent a short spell on loan with Merthyr Town before signing his first professional contract with Newport in 2018.

Representing Wales at U19 and U21 levels, Momodou made his League Two debut in May 2018 before spells at Barry Town and Torquay United.

He joined Salford City in 2020, making his debut in the EFL Trophy against Manchester United U21s, before a loan move to Hereford.

After joining Marine in 2022, Touray went on to become Warrington Rylands top goalscorer in the 2023-24 season, with 18 goals -helping the club to a fourth placed finish in the Northern Premier League.

Boss Lees is delighted to boost his attacking options.

“I’m really happy to get Mo over the line," he said.

"With us losing Kieran Glynn and Leo Graham being a short-term loan, we needed a number 10 with goals, physicality and creation. Mo brings all of these attributes; he is an excellent player for this level and can also play as a striker."
