Action is being taken to remove travellers from a supermarket car park after they set up camp yesterday (Tuesday).

Around a dozen or so caravans had parked up on the grounds of Asda Pilsworth.

The Bury Times understands that supermarket bosses are working with police to move them off the land.

One shopper said: "There seemed to be around a dozen caravans parked up on the bottom of the car park.

"There was no issue with spaces, but I did go quite late and the travellers did not seem to be causing an inconvenience."
