A Ramsbottom councillor has been "administratively suspended" from the Labour Party.
Cllr Spencer Donnelly is now listed as an independent on Bury Council's website - but the cause of his suspension remains a mystery.
When asked about the suspension, the Labour Party said they would not comment on any internal party matters or any disciplinary matters. They did however confirm Cllr Donnelly's suspension.
A Labour Party spokesperson said: “The party does not comment on internal party matters and any disciplinary matters in the party are investigated in line with our rules and procedures.”
More to follow.
