Two Prestwich residents were given a pleasant surprise this month after both winning £1,000 on the People's Postcode Lottery.
The people with the M25 9NG postcode, which is on Jesmond Avenue, won the prize on Monday, March 6.
The People's Postcode Lottery is a subscription lottery, which raises money for charities and players can sign up with their postcode, paying each month to be in with a chance of winning cash prizes.

Players are automatically entered into every draw and prizes are announced every day of the month with 33 per cent of the ticket price going to charities.

Ticket prices for the lotto are £10 for April draws, then £12 per month for May draws onwards.
