Radcliffe: Buses will divert to avoid roadwork areas on route

Buses are being diverted on Outwood Road in while roadworks take place in the area.

Services 512, 887 and 890 will divert via Stand Lane and Ringley Road in both directions.

The Bee Network social media page alerted commuters to the change.

A statement said: “Outwood Road, Radcliffe is closed at the junction with Belmont Road.

“Services 512, 887 and 890 will divert via Stand Lane and Ringley Road in both directions.”

They later confirmed it was due to roadworks taking place in the area. A sinkhole opened up in the middle of the busy road last week.  

Passengers are assured buses are still running but anyone on the affected route will have to find the nearest stop along the diversion.

Work is expected to continue until Ocotober 13.

Other roadworks in place in Bury include BT doing works on St. Johns Gardens and Bury Council roadworks on York Street from 02/10/23 to 27/10/23.
