An award-winning group of musicians will be performing at Bury Parish Church on Friday.
The Aestus Quartet, which comprises vionists Leda Mileto and Chris Karwacinski, viola player Beth Willett and cello player Clara Hope Simpson, will be showcasing their talent in a lunchtime concert at 12.30pm.
Since its formation at the Royal Northern College of Music (RNCM) in 2021, they have established themselves as a "dynamic ensemble that is recognized for their warmth and sensitive musical approach".
They are recipients of the Weil Prize for Chamber Music, participants of Chamber Studio UK’s inaugural Hans Keller Forum in 2022-2023, and finalists in the Christopher Rowland Ensemble of the Year Prize among others.

This year the quartet opened and closed the Lake District Summer Music Festival’s Emerging Artist Series.
And this season, the quartet made appearances at Southwell Music Festival, BBC Philharmonic Young Artist series at Bridgewater Hall in Manchester among other performances.

They are looking forward to starting a new chapter with the group selected for the RNCM String Quartet Studio 2023-2024 as well as Britten Pears Young Artists 2023-2024 as one of the “Chamber Futures” resident groups.
The programme at Bury Parish Church will include Jonathan Dove’s "Out of Time" and Franz Schubert’s "Death and the Maiden".
Refreshments will be on sale from 11.30am and tickets will cost £5 on the door.
