A new bar and entertainment venue celebrated its opening night in style.

Icons on Bury New Road in Prestwich held the grand opening of its venue on Friday, December 1, welcoming influencers and personalities including singer Rowetta, known for her work with the Happy Mondays, and Geordie Shore's Holly Hagan-Blyth.

The bar, which specialises in tribute acts and entertainment, opened its doors last week after moving from its previous location on Higher Lane, Whitefield.

Co-owner Philip said: “We have been overwhelmed with the support from the local community since opening our doors on Friday.

"We could not have asked for a better launch party, seeing our vision come to life was certainly worth all the hard work.

"To have all our closest family and friends, local businesses and even local celebrities like Holly come and join in the celebrations meant the world to us.

The owners say that the business, which holds the tagline, "A World of Entertainment," "perfectly encapsulates its mission to put Icons on the map as a premier entertainment destination in Greater Manchester".
