A vets surgery has celebrated its 20th birthday in style.
Staff at Vets4Pets on Manchester Road in Bury, which has recently been refurbished, held a open day party event inviting clients and members of the community.
Guests were treated to light refreshments and tours of the newly renovated practice along with demonstrations of pieces of equipment including digital X-ray, ultrasound and endoscopy.
The recent building works have increased the size of the practice by just under 800sq/ft, which will enable the surgery to expand both its consulting and clinical capacity.
In a statement, owners of the practice Michael Dewhurst and Chris Foster, said: “We had a fabulous turnout for the party and the whole team really enjoyed themselves.
"It was really nice to show clients around the new facilities, in a more relaxed way.
"Everyone was really impressed with the new look and increased space.
"The event was a real team effort, and it’s so rewarding to see everyone’s hard work pay off.
"This is a great community to be part of and we are excited to continue helping local pet owners care for their beloved animals.”

Entertainment was also on hand in the form of Chris Knapman and Sara Rovetto from Caricatures with Attitude, who did some "amazing" drawings of staff, clients and their pets.
Magician Alex Fisher also wowed attendees who sipped Prosecco and soft drinks while photographer Stephen Redfern captured the event perfectly.
Guests took selfies using one of his selfie mirrors.

"They look after our dogs, cats and small animals, and are always on hand for advice. We are grateful for all they do for Bleakholt animals.”
Bury mayor Sandra Walmsley, who also attended, added: "It was an honour and a pleasure to join the team and customers at the Vets for Pets open day.
"It was lovely to meet the devoted team and to have a tour of the newly refurbished facilities which look amazing.
