A number of people from Bury have recently been before the courts.

Magistrates have dealt with a number of offences including harassment, driving matters and theft.

Paul Chatterley harassed a woman on a single day earlier this month.

On the same day he damaged a door belonging to another woman causing £250 of damage.

The 42-year-old from Beech Street, Bury, admitted the offences at Manchester Magistrates Court.

He was placed on a community order until July 2025 requiring him to do 20 rehabilitation activity requirement days and to do 29 days of building better relationships.

Leon Balfe drove a Honda on Walmsley Road with cannabis in his system in July last year.

The 25-year-old from Huntley Mount, Bury, admitted the offence at Manchester Magistrates Court.

He was placed on a community order for a year requiring him to do 100 hours of unpaid work.

He was also banned from the roads for a year.

Qamar Gulam drove a Volkswagen Golf on Bury Road, Bury with cocaine in his system.

He admitted the offence, which took place in June last year, at Barkingside Magistrates Court.

The 42-year-old from Rochdale Road, Bury, was banned from the roads for a year and fined £120.

Kevin Graham stole an air fryer worth £70 belonging to the Range Store in Bury in April last year.

The 41-year-old from Milltown Close, Radcliffe, admitted the offence at Manchester Magistrates Court.

He was placed on a community order to last until February of 2025.

As part of this he was ordered to do 15 rehabilitation activity requirement days and to pay compensation of £70 to the store he stole from.

Joshua Horner drove a Vauxhall Corsa on Market Street, Bury, with cannabis in his system.

The 32-year-old admitted the offence which took place in August last year, at Manchester Magistrates Court.

Horner, from Outwood Road, Radcliffe, was banned from the roads for a year and fined £120.
